Aide: Hillary Clinton collapses
Monday, January 31, 2005 Posted: 1:55 PM EST (1855 GMT)

BUFFALO, New York (AP) -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton collapsed Monday during a speech on Social Security, the result of a 24-hour flu bug, an aide told The Associated Press.

Clinton was speaking in warm room in front of 150 people, according to the aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

"She was weak and needed to sit down. She fainted," the aide said.

Colleen DiPirro, president of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce, told WBEN-AM radio that Clinton told the crowd she was feeling weak and had had a stomach virus. Clinton started to speak then collapsed, DiPirro told the radio station.

Clinton, 57, walked out of the private club where she was to speak under her own power, smiling, the club's general manager said.

"I saw her walk out the door by herself, she smiled and said 'Thank you'," said Saturn Club general manager Vincent Tracy.

Later Monday, she arrived at a Catholic college where she was to speak about health care. Several hundred people were waiting to hear that address. There were also dozens of anti-abortion protesters waiting at the college.

In September, Clinton's 58-year-old husband, former President Bill Clinton, underwent quadruple bypass surgery.

During an earlier editorial board meeting Monday at The Buffalo News, Hillary Clinton complained about suffering from a flu-like bug that affected several of her staff members during a weekend retreat in Westchester.

Clinton lives in Westchester County.

California strikes again.

Let's take a look at the following article:

San Francisco May Charge for Grocery Bags

Mon Jan 24, 8:23 AM ET Strange News - AP

SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco may become the first city in the nation to charge shoppers for grocery bags.

The city's Commission on the Environment is expected to ask the mayor and board of supervisors Tuesday to consider a 17-cent per bag charge on paper and plastic grocery bags. While the goal is reducing plastic bag pollution, paper was added so as not to discriminate.

"The whole point is to encourage the elimination of waste, not to make people pay more for groceries," said Mark Murray, executive director of Californians Against Waste.

Environmentalists argue that plastic bags jam machinery, pollute waterways and often end up in trees. In addition to large supermarkets, other outfits that regularly use plastic bags, including smaller grocery stores, dry cleaners and takeout restaurants, could eventually be targeted.

Officials calculate that the city spends 5.2 cents per bag annually for street litter pickup and 1.4 cents per bag for extra recycling costs.

Grocers and bag manufacturers argue that many people already reuse their plastic bags, and that the use of plastic won't go down because people will purchase plastic trash bags to use instead. Other opponents call the plan an unfair and regressive tax on shoppers.

Let's look at this again:
"While the goal is reducing plastic bag pollution, paper was added so as not to discriminate."

Are they so afraid of hurting the feelings of non-plastic bags that they had to include them in this law?

Brian B at Memento Moron, his wife, The Feared Redhead and their unborn BABY could use some prayers. TFR's water broke six weeks early, though she is not in active labor just yet. Please say a prayer for them if you are the praying kind, if nto send good thoughts, do a safe baby dance or what ever it is you do when you wish to help someone... or if you would like to help out the first time parents, they are registered at Target.com for the baby. I know they have not had the chance to get everything on the list yet, so anything would help.

Thanks Much!

According to Fascism, a true, a great spiritual life cannot take place unless the State has risen to a position of pre-eminence in the world of man. The curtailment of liberty thus becomes justified at once, and this need of rising the State to its rightful position."
-- Mario Palmieri in The Philosophy of Fascism 1936

"There is the great, silent, continuous struggle: the struggle between the State and the Individual; between the State which demands and the individual who attempts to evade such demands. -- Norman Thomas, six-time Socialist Party presidential candidate and one of the founders of the ACLU.

"Among the elementary measures the American government will adopt to further the cultural revolution are the following: the schools, colleges, and universities will be coordinated and grouped under a National Department of Education and its state and local branches. The studies will be revolutionized, being cleansed of religious, patriotic, and other features of bourgeois ideology."
--William Z. Foster, National Chairman of the United States Communist Party, in his book "Toward a Soviet America".

"The children who know how to think for themselves, spoil the harmony of the collective society that is coming, where everyone (would be) interdependent."
-- John Dewey, pioneer of American modern education system

"Every child in America entering school at the age of five is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It is up to you as teachers to make all of these sick children well -- by creating the international child of the future."
-- Dr. Chester M. Pierce, Professor of Education at Harvard, addressing the Association for Childhood Education International in April,1972

"Schools will become clinics whose purpose is to provide individualized, psycho-social treatment for the student, and teachers must become psycho-social therapists. This will include biochemical and psychological mediation of learning, as drugs are introduced experimentally to improve in the learner such qualities as personality, concentration, and memory."
--National Education Association report entitled "Education for the '70's." (1979)

"The battle for humankind's future must be waged and won in the public school classroom...between the rotting corpse of Christianity...and the new faith of humanism. Humanism will emerge triumphant."
-- John Dunphy, January/February, 1983, issue of "The Humanist"

"It is thus necessary that the individual should come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole ... that above all the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual. .... This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture .... we understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow man."
-- Adolph Hitler, 1933

"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society."
-- Hillary Clinton, 1993

"In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn't such a great idea after all."
--Strobe Talbot, President Clinton's Deputy Secretary of State, as quoted in Time, July 20th, 1992.

We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
--David Rockefeller, Baden-Baden, Germany 1991

The Cos on the March

Once again, Bill Cosby lives up to his reputation as America's Father Figure, and it looks like people are starting to get his message.

Cosby tells parents to stop the foolishness

1,800 pack Detroit campus to hear his message on raising kids

Actor and comedian Bill Cosby, who played America's favorite TV dad in the 1980s, mixed humor and preaching Thursday as he urged African-American Detroiters to be more responsible for the lives and futures of their children. Although some would say that the community's youths are out of control, Cosby suggested, "it's not what they're doing to us. It's what we're not doing."

"We're not explaining. We're not educating our children. We have bought into keeping our mouths shut," he said.

More than 1,800 people packed Wayne County Community College's downtown campus to hear Cosby's message. Some stood in the rain at 4 p.m., three hours before the start of the event, to ensure they got a seat to see the comic. "It must be his celebrity status because his message isn't pretty," said Lynda White, 38, of Detroit. "He's saying things that make us uncomfortable."

That may have been Cosby's point -- facing the realities of life as a black person in America today is not a comfortable proposition.

"It was not long ago that I used to say to myself, African-American people are the only people who do not have any good old days," Cosby said, going on to tell the crowd that in "teenage pregnancy per capita, we became No. 1. In the household, the female is the leader. In the prisons, we win hands down in population. Our children, the ones that drop out, quit studying in the third grade. We have funerals because our children are shot. ... And I'm amazed that some people say we did better when there was segregation. ... I don't swallow that."

As he tours the country with his forum, A Conversation with Bill Cosby, he tells the crowds that he is not a savior and that the answer to the community's problems lies with them.

Before going on stage Thursday, Cosby visited three overflow rooms. As he moved through a maze of hallways, he shook hands, hugged, joked and even did his trademark Fat Albert, "Hey, Hey, Hey."

If he had any critics then, it didn't show.

Each time he entered a room, he was greeted with universal applause and cheers.

"You're going to leave here knowing you were right all the time," he said. "You're going to leave here knowing you have something to say. It's time to stop the foolishness."

In another room, Cosby told the crowd that often people tell him he's preaching to the choir.

Some nodded or said "yes" as Cosby told them that the problems were of "epidemic proportions."

"These are our people -- our people -- our young people, and they have to be taught and retaught and we have to do it and mean it," he said.

"You can't throw them up against the wall anymore. You can't curse at them anymore," he said. "We've got to bring them home, sit them down. We are the elders, and we got to demand our place."

In the gravity of his message, Cosby maintained his sense of humor.

"You young fellas, we need to pass the word. You old fellas, we need you to keep the word. And you women, we're coming," he said to a burst of laughter.

Free Press columnist Rochelle Riley hosted the event, which was sponsored by the newspaper. Riley set the mood by saying the conversation is not directed at all black parents but a specific group in need of help and change.

"If your child is walking around in thousands of dollars worth of clothes and doesn't have a dime's worth of sense -- he's talking to you," she said.

Before Cosby spoke, there were at least two-dozen speakers -- the stage was a Who's Who of people trying to make a difference in Detroit.

In 2-minute speeches, they offered inspirational poetry and information on how to get tutoring, how to reach teens, teach youngsters to read and volunteer. One told about a slain father; another told of a carjacking averted with a loving conversation with a gun-toting teen. Their words differed, but the message was the same.

"Do you think this was supposed to be our destiny?" asked Weusi Olusola, president of Pioneers for Peace, a Detroit-based violence prevention and awareness program. "There's a crisis in the black community, and we can no longer let that be."

Everyone knows what the solutions are, Cosby said.

"Do you believe in yourself?' he asked. "Open your mouths. ... March!"

Cosby called on the faithful to put their religion to work.

"You call yourselves Christians? Jesus didn't sit in the house," Cosby said. "He walked in the streets."

Parent Malinda Russell-Williams agreed with Cosby about apathy in the community.

"He's so right," she said. "We all sit there, and we don't do anything. We've got the power. We are no longer the minority. I hope it starts in the church."

Cosby said that systematic racism is a problem, but it's not insurmountable.

"Maybe we can't get back to the old days that we old-timers used to see. But I tell you, now 87 percent" of the city is black, Cosby said. "We are not a minority. ... It costs no money to open your mouth. It costs no money to tell people to stop. It's something in us."

The audience was packed with active parents from community groups who now say they must take the message to the streets.

"Yes, the parents are listening. That's why he's getting so many reactions," said Keith Davis, whose son is a freshman at Cass Technical High. "The solutions are very straightforward lessons from when we were raised. Why abandon them?"

Detroit Public Television, WTVS-TV (Channel 56), taped the event and will broadcast it as a 1-hour special at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.

Johnny Martin Shatters Masturbation World Record!

January 13, 2005

It's official, Johnny Martin is the new king of masturbation. In a stunning feat of endurance and determination, Johnny Martin achieved 36 orgasms in a 24 hour period!

Sleeping intermittently during the 24 hour marathon, Johnny Martin remained focused and aroused by his impressive library of pornographic films. With over 400 films in his library and 3 televisions playing movies at all times, he had a continuous stream of footage to aid him in his quest.

It is apparent by the massive development of the muscles in his forearm that Johnny Martin is not your average masturbator. In an interview with UJ reporters after the record setting event, Johnny Martin was quoted as saying, "masturbation for me is a way of life. I've been training for this day since I was 13 years old and I'm happy with my performance today".

This record was formerly held by German Student, Hans Blickstein who achieved 27 orgasms in a 24 hour period. Mr. Blickstein was not available for comment.

When asked what his next world record achievement would be, Johnny Martin said "my immediate goal is to get a bag of ice and some lotion on my penis to soothe the burning".

This could be good

Kevin Spacey to play Lex Luthor in new Superman movie.

Anyone who's seen Spacey play a bad guy, like in Se7en and The Usual Suspects, knows that Spacey would do well in this part.

The Lesson of the Christ

I was at a friend’s house last night helping him work on his computer. When we finished, we decided that we wanted to watch a movie. After a little debate, he threw in the DVD that he got from his parents for Christmas – The Passion of the Christ. Even though I’ve seen it before, I still enjoyed it; after all, one doesn’t need to be a religious person in order to appreciate the artistic value of this film.

As I watched the movie, I came to realize that is has a much deeper meaning than just the blood and gore. This movie carried a very powerful, very important lesson – a lesson that is as relevant today as it was during Biblical times. It was a lesson that has echoed throughout all of history. It was a lesson that I once embraced back in the days in which I carried the title of Christian, myself; back when I thought that becoming a preacher was a good and noble goal. It was a lesson that I had rejected at some point during the painful years of my youth.

What was this powerful, even earth-shaking, lesson?

Conform or die.

Christ died on the Cross - not for our sins, but for his own. His fatal sin was that he preached a religious view that ran contradictory to the views of those in power. Because he did not toe the line that was drawn by the religious leaders of the time, he was deemed to be a dangerous heretic – so dangerous that they would choose to release a murderer rather than to release the non-violent Christ. Christ was severely beaten, tortured, had a crown of thorns thrust upon his brow, and crucified because he dared to be different.

As mentioned before, this is a scenario that has echoed throughout all of history. From Tomas de Torquemada to Jerry Falwell, from the Prophet Mohammed to Iranian cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, “conform or die” has been the silent (sometimes not so silent) mantra of those who hold the reins of religious leadership.

This may not be the lesson that Mel Gibson wished to convey when he made this very well put together movie, but it is a valuable lesson nonetheless.

I'm rooting for a Democrat?

Texas State Senator John Whitmire(D - Houston), who last year broke ranks with the Texas Democratic Party and returned to his job while the other Democratic legislators were hiding in Oklahoma, is telling Houston dictator mayor Bill White to put a moratorium on the controversial Letters of Marque SAFEClear Law that was just crammed down our throats passed by the Imperial High City Council.

New Blog

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I present to you the newest member of the Pajamahudeen, The Liberty Zone, which is run by my good friend Nicki Fellenzer. Drop in and say "hi".

Oh, the irony

PowerLine has an entry that exposes the current antics of Pablo Paredes, a sailor who missed deployment on his ship, the USS Bonhomme Richard, in protest of the war. Paredes, trying to pass himself off as a modern-day John Kerry, has been whoring himself out as the quintessential "anti-war soldier" and wanted to "save lives" by not participating in military action.

As fate would have it, Paredes is sitting on his duff in the States while the shipmates he abandoned on the USS Bonhomme Richard are currently assigned to relief efforts in Indonesia.

Mr. Paredes, I would like to introduce you to my good friend Karma. And, yes, she's quite the bitch.

Good news?

Drudge Report is reporting that Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi has been captured in Bahgdad. Seeing as how he has been reportedly captured in the past, I'm going to wait for some verification on this story.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Allow me to direct you to Belky's Asylum, an online political debate forum I've been visiting for four years now. Check it out, and hop right in.

2005 - Another year, another asinine law

SAFEClear law angers Houstonians

Yes, Dear Reader, Houstonians are no longer allowed to change their own flat tires.

Once again, Houston's City Imperial High Council has proven that it has absolutely no concern for the rights of its citizens subjects. Houston's City Hall Imperial Palace has passed the SAFEClear law that requires all disabled vehicles on all city highways to be towed within six minutes. That's right. SIX MINUTES. Whether or not the owner of the vehicle wants it towed is completely irrelevant. Whether the vehicle is stalled, out of gas, or simply has a flat tire is also irrelevant. If the onwer has AAA or other Roadside Assistance programs - well, that simply doesn't matter, either - the vehicle will be towed anyway - at the owner's expense. AND, to add further difficulties, if the owner of said car is unable to pay for the towing on the spot then the vehicle gets impounded, taken to an "approved storage facility" where it is held hostage until the owner can pay the amount owed. Of course, outrageous daily standard storage fees apply.

Yesterday, alone, more than 90 vehicles were towed in accordance with this new law. I wonder how much money in the way of kickbacks Mayor Emperor Bill White, whose plan this is, is receiving from this.

Somoene from Hollywood finally steps up

Quote of the Day

The reason the Christian religion is dying is because they allow far too many retards of this caliber to preach without holding them accountable for the hate they spew.

"It is no wonder that God has sent these great, unstoppable waves to sweep people away like so much chaff. Just as it is no wonder that God sent the Muslim planes to destroy the World Trade Center, it is no wonder that the God who created the Earth and Seas (Genesis 1:9-10) could use them to destroy thousands of unrepentant sinners. Be thankful it wasn't BILLIONS, as it was in the days of Noah!"
